Best Places to Shop

There are three main shopping areas in Portsmouth.

Gunwharf Quays is the place to go if you love to shop for a bargain. 90 stores offer shoppers at least 60% or more off of recommended retail prices across fashion, childrenswear, shoes and accessories, sportswear, homewares, and beauty.

The Cascades Shopping Centre is all under one roof.

There are some great cafes here too so you can stop off for a cuppa when you tire of shopping.

Travel just north of Fratton Bridge and you will find Bridge Shopping Centre.

Southsea Castle

Built in 1544, Southsea Castle was one in a series of forts constructed for King Henry VIII in what was the most ambitious scheme of coastal defence since Roman times.

A historical attraction overlooking the Solent, it is an interesting and atmospheric place to visit, and it also serves as a wonderful wedding venue hosting dozens of ceremonies throughout the year.

Staunton Country Park
